Philanthropy & Volunteerism

EVB employees donate time and resources to the charity that they have identified to represent EVB's culture...Relay for Life. The employees whole-heartedly believe that every family is touched by this insidious disease. By raising money and awareness, EVB employees feel that they are making a rich contribution to society. EVB employees volunteer numerous hours of their own time. EVB, as a company, provides company time and paid time off for many volunteer efforts. EVB donates approximately $200,000 to varied causes across its branch network. Bank employees and regional boards are instrumental in making recommendations for corporate donations.

Investments & Lending

EVB maintains an ongoing level of community development participation, including opportunities for the investment portfolio. In addition to investments with local counties and municipalities, we make low income housing investments through participation with the Housing Equity Fund of Virginia.

Affordable Housing Developer Financing

Special affordable housing loans for the construction, renovation and preservation of affordable housing. These loans are available to investors and developers of affordable housing in the low-income and moderate-income neighborhoods where we do business.

Construction Financing

For new construction and rehabilitation projects. EVB provides stand-alone construction financing or one-stop shopping for construction and permanent financing through a variety of term debt options.

Who Benefits?

Developers of single-family subdivisions or multifamily rentals, making these properties available to those who earn 80% or less of the area median income.
